Italian Breaded Steak

This is a stake recipe my Grandmother use to make all the time when I was a kid. This uses cubed steak, which is breaded with Italian seasoned breadcrumbs, lightly fried in Olive Oil, then steamed in a steamer until very tender

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs cube stake
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 cups Italian season breadcrumbs
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 1/2 cup olive oil

Instructions

  1. cut large steaks into smaller pieces approximately 3" square

  2. dredge each steak in flour, then egg, then in the breadcrumbs

  3. add about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of oil in pan and heat to approx 300 degrees. Fry each steak on each side for 3 to 5 minutes per side.

  4. Transfer each steak to the double boiler steamer basket
