Swedish Meatballs

Excellent appetizer or side dish for pot lucks!

Ingredients

Sauce

  • 1 can onion soup 10 3/4 oz
  • 1 can tomato soup 10 3/4 oz
  • 2 tbsp cornstartch
  • 2 large cloves minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup cider or white vinegar
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 tbsp hot pepper sauce I don't add this

Meatballs

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground sausage
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup bread softened soak in milk
  • 1/4 tsp marjoram
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 tsp sweet basil
  • 1/4 tsp ground pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

Sauce

  1. In a bowl combine all ingredients

  2. add sauce into slow cooker and set on high temperature

Meatballs

  1. mix all ingredients thoroughly

  2. roll into one inch balls

  3. brown in skillet, pour off excess fat

  4. add cooked meatballs to slow cooker sauce

  5. cook until tender
